Message I had those on my 300zx TT with JTW 530BB, the car ran the exact same 1/4 mile time (high 12's) with stock mufflers and no cats as when I had the electric cut out open. Lots of noise, not power. The problem is the cut out is off to the side and the exhaust flow wants to go straight as the exhaust bounces arounf it created turbelance which hurt flow.

I think it will work better with the cut out on the straight side of the pipe but that's a much more complex install. I am working on such a design now which has a custom vacuum operated valve which opens a straight path for the exhaust that will exit near the gas tank area. When closed the exhaust will follow the more complex stock exhaust pipe path. The vacuum operated design will allow the valve to open and close quickly.

I had the "QTP" cutouts and they butterfly didn't seal perfectly and it sounded like I had an exhaust leak all the time. They also open and close very slowly, Very annoying.

I did later remove the cut outs and opted for Specialty Z exhaust which I was pleased with performance wise, but it drones too much on the highway for me so I going to make a system with the best of both worlds, straight path for amd longer and muffled path for cruising.
